Your photos never leave your device

Sweepius reads your photo library using Apple's Photos framework to find similar photos, screenshots and large videos. All scanning, comparing and video compression happens on your iPhone. We do not operate a server that receives your photos, videos or anything about them.

Deleting and saving

Sweepius only deletes items you select, and only after you confirm in iOS's own dialog. Deleted items go to the Recently Deleted album in Photos. When you compress a video, the smaller copy is saved to your library on your device.

No account

The app has no sign-up and no login. We don't collect your name, email or phone number.

What the app stores

The app keeps three numbers on your device: how many cleanups you've done, how many free cleanups you've used, and how much space you've cleared. They never leave your iPhone.

Purchases

Payments are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details. Apple shares anonymized sales reports with us.

Diagnostics

If you've opted in to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may provide us aggregated, anonymous crash and usage data.

This website

This site doesn't use advertising cookies. The free tools run in your browser and don't upload anything.

We use PostHog to count anonymous page views, how far pages are scrolled, and clicks on App Store buttons, so we can improve our guides. It's configured without cookies or persistent identifiers, and doesn't record sessions. This applies to the website only — the app has no analytics.
